Tags, Techniques and Watercolors

It's time to wrap it up!  I love wrapping gifts – and watercolored tags add an artsy, personal touch to any gift.  Jean Okimoto here – let's get started…

Memory Box Products

  • Merry Christmas Stamp B2019
  • Jolly Combo Stamp B2014 (there's a little holly stamp attached to the side)
  • Cheers Script Die 98900
  • Snowflake Heart Die 99031
  • Party Glasses Die 98530
  • A Batch of Gingerbread Die 98652
  • Pool Notecards
  • Key Lime Notecards

Imagine Crafts Products

  • Caribbean Sea Kaleidacolor Inkpad
  • VersaMark Inkpad
  • Memento Luxe Love Letter Pigment Inkpad
  • Gold Embossing Powder
  • Clear Embossing Powder

Press the Caribbean Sea inkpad onto an acrylic stamp block.  Use a slightly damp wide, flat paintbrush to apply overlapping bands of ink to a strip of watercolor paper – rinse the brush between colors.  Air-dry the inks for about 5 minutes, then heat-set them.

Stamp Merry Christmas with VersaMark, emboss it with gold powder.  Stamp Jolly Combo with Love Letter, emboss it with clear powder.

Cut Cheers Script from white cardstock.  Cut A Batch of Gingerbread and Snowflake Heart from gold mirror cardstock.  Cut Snowflake Heart again from red mirror cardstock.  Cut Party Drinks from silver mirror cardstock.

Cut the notecards in half – they're the perfect size for gift tags.  Assemble the tags and add gold cord ties.

Merry, Merry!

Thanks for visiting..

  1. Thanks Nancy and Donna….watercolor a bunch of them now, then add the greetings and diecuts later. They’d also make unique placecards and table number signs for a wedding or special event.
