Happiness

Hello everyone from sunny southern California!  Sherry here with a summery card for you today.

The water colored background was created using Peeled Paint, Worn Lipstick, Dried Marigold and Spun Sugar Distress Inks.  I then sponged Peeled Paint through the Texture Scraped Paint stencil over one area of the background, and turned it once to create the cross hatch. I am loving this stencil!

I trimmed this background piece down and splattered some watered down Peeled Paint over the entire top before adding the Happiness stamp and the Flllipa Corner.  I had some leftover background, and used it to cut the solid layer of the butterfly from the Cascadia Butterfly Trio set.  The top layer is one of the butterflies from the Butterfly Exhibit Die which I snipped from the entire die cut piece, and it happens to match the solid butterfly.

The card was completed with a scattering of pink, green and yellow sequins.  I adhered the assembled piece to a piece of warm white card stock that was cut smaller than the card base, then added that to the card base using foam tape.

This was a fun card to make, and I hope you enjoy it.  Thanks for stopping by today!
