Carolina Blue
by Penny

Hello, hello Memory Box friends. Penny here today. So I started this card by stenciling the stars and I am thinking to myself, this would make a great card for someone attending or graduating from University of North Carolina. I love to give special touches to a card like school colors or a personalized name. Do you?  Since I must cheer for Florida schools, let's just call this card light blue. 🙂

Here is how I made it:

I started with the white card stock cut just a bit smaller than the normal 4.25 x 5.50 inches. I die cut the Swirling Stitches (in love with this die), then proceeded to stencil the stars. I mixed Whipped Spackle with Metallic Blueberry Gelatos for a shimmery effect on my Starry Nights stencil.

I stamped the sentiment from Reach for the Stars, wrapped a pretty sheer ribbon and finished the card with a couple of stars die cut from the Stitched Celebrate Circle Frame.

Pretty Pink Posh Clear dots added for a little bling.

If I had not had to wait for the Spackle to dry, this would have been a 10 minute card….just sayin'

Thanks for much for swinging by today. Don't forget to follow us on Facebook and show us what you have been creating with your Memory Box goodies.

Happy Crafting,

  1. Or, you could move! Seriously, this is a great design and could be adapted to any school’s colors.
