A Pocket Full of Posies

Hello everyone! Sherry here with a spring into summer card featuring the Blooming Chrysanthemum die.

I went a little rogue and rather than a vase, I wanted to have the flowers coming out of a pocket. But Memory Box doesn't have a pocket die, right? Well, technically, no, but I discovered that by snipping off a portion of a hexagon die cut from pale blue card stock, voila, a perfect pocket! Of course it had to have stitching, so I used a white gel pen to add the stitch lines.  I die cut two of the Blooming Chrysanthemum die from a light yellow card stock. I colored the stem portion of one die cut with Forest Moss Distress Ink. I snipped the smallest flower from the stem as well as all of the flowers from the second cut. After shaping each flower a bit, I glued them to the corresponding flowers on the stem, and added gold glitter to the centers. 

I splattered Faded Jeans Distress Ink onto the front of the card base, added a narrow strip of yellow card stock towards the bottom, and then mounted the pocket with foam tape. The assembled flower stem, Wild Prairie Stem and butterflies were added as shown. The sentiment is from the Bunny Tea Time clear stamp set.
