The Butterfly Whirl has so many possibilities…here's just one of them. Hi there – Jean Okimoto here today – with a deceptively quick summer card for you. Seriously…deciding where to stick the sequins took the most time during the design process!
I love the "interactive-ness"of Memory Box butterfly dies - they work and play well together.

Cut Butterfly Whirl from pale green cardstock. The die cleverly cuts the wings of each and every little butterfly – AND the rectangle. Raise a few of the wings for a bit of dimension, then attach the diecut panel to a 4-⅝" x 6-¼" card of lime cardstock.
Cut the smallest butterfly from the versatile Butterfly Ensemble set from blue, pink and green glitter cardstock. Attach Scor-Tape behind gold mirror cardstock and cut the body/antennae from the Butterfly Wreath set. Attach the glittered butterflies with foam dots.
Prep a scrap of pale green cardstock with the embossing powder tool to eliminate stray flecks of powder. Stamp New Possibilities with VersaMark. Emboss it with Imagine Crafts gold embossing powder. Trim it with the short end of 3" x 4" Pinpoint Rectangle Layer. Trim the excess cardstock with the 4" long inner edge of the die.
Attach opalescent green sequins…and your card is ready for a grad, new hire, retiree…or anyone seeking new challenges and opportunities.
This would be a pretty wedding card with a congratulatory greeting - in natural or white, with a pair of glittery gold or silver butterflies.

Big THANKS to everyone who took last weekend's Butterflies and Blossoms card at Impress! Hope you enjoyed the class – and that sneaky cool new way to use Kaleidacolors. We're having another class at the Tukwila Impress from 11:00 to 1:00 on Memorial Day if you're looking a creative way to spend a few hours of your holiday.
Be sure to visit Impress – or their online store – for the best selection of the newest clear stamp sets and coordinating dies from Memory Box and Poppystamps -

Thanks a bunch for stopping by today…hope you like this quick card and know of at least one person who's ready to start a new journey. See you again on Saturday!

Another fab card and love the idea of white or ivory for a wedding card, do the butterflies stay elevated or do you have to add foam to keep them there, I guess stiff heavier card works better but if they get flattened in the post if not in a box the effect may be lost, love all the ideas on here thanks for all your hard work and sharing.
Thanks julye! I creased just a few of the background butterfly wings (no foam dots) because I wanted the 3 glittered butterflies (w/ foam dots) to be more prominent. The thickness of the glittered butterflies, greeting strip and the sequins might protect the raised background butterfly wings a little…I hope!
Love this background! What a fun card and so beautiful! Nice job Jean! Just stunning!
Thank you Gail – lots of possibilities with these products!
