Good Morning everyone! Sherry here with a Thank You card that would also work for any all occasion card. I had no idea what my card would end up like, but I wanted to do something using the Chrysanthemum Collage as a stencil. I cut the die and stenciled VersaMark Ink through a section of it onto a light gray card stock.

I embossed the images with white embossing powder, then sponged Hickory Smoke distress ink on the background. This was easy to do since the embossed areas acted as a resist. I sponged Spun Sugar distress ink in the flower centers. And then I didn't know what to do with it!! As I continued to experiment, I cut a couple of circle dies from the Studio Circle Layers, and ended up turning one of them into a vase by cutting a flat top and a narrower flat bottom. I decided to use the Bamboo Shoots and the Wild Prairie Stems to fill the vase, gong with a black, gray and pink color scheme. I know, not very realistic, but that's why card making is so much fun! I cut the Bamboo Shoots from gray card stock and the Tall Bamboo from black card stock. The prairie stems were cut from white card stock and I sponged them with Spun Sugar.

I cut a piece of the same gray card stock to 4" x 5.5" and very lightly sponged Hickory Smoke through the Chicken Wire stencil. I then splattered Black Soot onto the background before adhering it to a black card base. I stamped the sentiment from the Hope and Thanks clear stamp set. To give the shoots some dimension, I shaped them with a stylus. I glued the black shoots directly to the card front, and adhered the gray shoots and pink stems to the back of the vase. I then added the assemblage to the card front with foam tape. And that completed the card! Pretty simple once it all came together.

Enjoy your weekend, and thanks as always for stopping by!
