A Snowflake Card Trio

I am bringing you not one, but three holiday card ideas using a simple snowflake and sentiment die. When it comes to mass producing your holiday cards, dies make it so easy, and quick! 

To make these three cards, I took the beautiful Arpeggio Snowflake die, along with the Playful Merry Christmas die. Other supplies I used included three different embossing powders, white spray mist, and colored card stocks. Let me share how these three cards came together..

After I had die cut the snowflake from my colored card stocks, I applied embossing ink to the die cut, along with either gold, platinum, or sparkling clear powders. I then heat set them, and repeated the process a couple more times. I wanted a nice raised effect on the die cuts. 

I took white mist, and flicked it onto my panels, and allowed them to dry. I adhered the panel to a white card base, and reinserted the die cut. I then added my black sentiment.

For this card, I followed the same steps, adding more mist in the bottom right, and allowing the overspray to fall onto the whole panel. I had die cut the snowflake from the center of the panel, and reinserted the gold positive piece back in, and added the word Merry only, from the Playful Merry Christmas die.

For the last card, the simplicity won out, and I decided to leave the sentiment off. I did a very light splatter of white ink on the red panel, and used a sparkly clear embossing powder for my snowflake die cut.
