Swirly Ghost Circle, Happy Halloween Channel and Swirling Ghosts
by Jean Okimoto

Ever wonder why ghosts are usually guys?  Transform the Swirly Ghost Circle into a ghostette and give her a pretty background of shimmery metallic inks, a glittered channel greeting and some sequins.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here, with a sparkly Halloween design for your special gal-friends.

Paint ivory cardstock with Peerless Watercolors and let it dry.  Sponge it with Imagine Crafts Golden Glitz Delicata.  Cut Swirly Ghost Circle from white cardstock.  Cut around it with a Stitched Circle Layer.  Cut a smaller circle of the watercolored cardstock to fit behind the girl ghost.

Back the ghost's eyes with a scrap of black cardstock.  Punch a circle for her mouth  and back it with glittered coral cardstock.

Diecut the lacy Distressed Baptisia Collage design twice from a strip of  orange cardstock – overlap it a bit when cutting it the second time.  Trim it to fit behind the white circle.

Cut Happy Halloween Channel from black cardstock – trim the tabs from both ends.  Attach it to a piece of glittered coral cardstock.

Attach everything to a top-folded 5.5" square black card.  Cut the smallest ghost from the Swirling Ghosts set.  Attach it with a foam dot where the "o" would appear in "Halloween."  Add pink and orange sequins.

Don't you love how Halloween is no longer just black/orange/white?  Pinks, corals, teals and dusty grays are appearing on spooky cards this fall.  Experiment with your favorite color combos - then add shimmery inks, glitter and sequins for the perfect celebration!

Thanks for stopping by – see you at the TRICKS, TREATS AND GREETS Halloween class at Impress on October 8th.  Better yet – arrive early and enjoy Impress' annual Holiday Open House that day too!
