The delicate Fanciful Poinsettia Ornament stars in a simple watercolored design of frosty blues and silvers tonight. Hi, Jean Okimoto here - Christmas is still weeks away, but I'm already looking for quick card ideas to share with you. Hope you like this one!

Spritz watercolor paper with water, then paint it with overlapping layers of Peerless Watercolors in shades of blue, aqua and purple. The colors will blend and soften as it air-dries. Flick water droplets over it, then spritz it with Imagine Crafts Frost Sheer Shimmer Spritz. Heat-set it.
Cut it with the 2-¼" x 3-½" Stitched Rectangle Trimming. Cut white cardstock with the 2-¾" x 4" Stitched Rectangle Trimming. Save the delicate trimmings for other projects.
Cut Fanciful Poinsettia Ornament from silver metallic cardstock. Leave it in the die and tape the pieces together on the back to create an inlaid design. Cut the twirly "string" from the Millbrook Ornament from silver metallic cardstock and attach it behind the poinsettia ornament's cap.
Cut the additional poinsettias from silver glittered cardstock. Attach one of them to the ornament – slightly offset – for a twinkly contrast.
Attach the pieces to a Water Notecard. Add tiny iridescent clear sequins.

The Millbrook Ornament officially joins the Stitched Rectangle Trimmings as my go-to team of new items that make life so much easier as we prep for the holidays. I love the Millbrook's delicate swirly hanger – it works perfectly with just about any ornament. The Stitched Rectangle Trimmings set eliminates the guesswork (and wonky layers!) of trimming with a paper cutter. Thanks Dave!
