If you're celebrating this day with friends and family–good for you! If you're celebrating with a traditional turkey and all the "fixin's–even better.
Today's card is designed for either for the holidays or the entire Winter season using only tree dies–and it's very sparkly.
I began by creating the blue watercolored background layer. Using watercolor paper, paint over the entire surface with clear water, then paint on your color (in this case, I used Color Burst powder pigments) allowing the color to travel randomly. I used a turquoise color on the lower half and an ultramarine color at the top and tipped the card to let the colors flow and blend on the midline. The fun part is that each card you make in never exactly like the last one–each one is unique, just like snowflakes.
Allow the paper to dry throughly, then layer the white Snowflake Spectacle die cut onto the blue panel.
Next, die cut the Loop Snowflake Trio from sparkly silver glitter paper. You can use ready-made glitter paper or make your own using double sided adhesive and loose glitter. Now, simply adhere the glittery snowflakes in place, using a detail tip on a wet adhesive bottle, over the corresponding white snowflakes from the Snowflake Spectacular die. Add gemstones, of course.
Finally, die cut the "Warm Wishes" border, afix it to the lower edge using two layers of foam mounting tape for extra dimension and mount all layers onto a navy blue top-fold note card.
If you prepare the parts ahead, you could easily assemble several in just a short time. We still have time to get those cards out in time for Christmas or send them out in January.
