We are officially in the homestretch for Christmas! My kids are counting down, and so am I (thinking of what little time I have left)! I am sure you can relate. This is truly my last Christmas card, I promise, and it is an fairly simple card. One die, and a background stamp!
I dug into the 2016 Holiday release, and brought out the Merry Christmas Garland die. At the time of its release, I had so many ideas about what I wanted to do with it, and quite frankly, I never did any of them. Sad, but true. So, for this card, I used my favorite technique, inlaid die cutting, all from one simple die.
I took a piece of red card stock, and trimmed it to fit my A2 size card base. I stamped the Sky Full of Snowflakes background stamp (from last year) onto it with a clear sticky ink, and let it dry. I then ran it through my die cut machine using the Garland die. Setting aside the pieces, I then ran it through again, with lime green card stock. I adhered a piece of typing paper, that I had put adhesive all over, to the back of the red pieces, and reinserted the green sentiment. I then ran the die through again, this time with gold. Taking the little half circles, I inserted them into the empty areas. I popped up the panel onto a white card base, and it was done.
