Snowglobe Wishes
by AnneThompson

For the cards I made for this post, I created a snowglobe scene using the SNOWGLOBE WISHES CLEAR STAMP SET no. CL5180.  I chose the little deer and two trees placed inside the snowglobe on a clear block and stamped that scene four times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock.  I colored the images with Memento pens:  Rich Cocoa, Desert Sand, Bamboo Leaves, and Pear Tart.  I then added snowflakes stamped in Hero Arts Cornflower blue ink, colored some of those in with a Memento Summer Sky Pen, and added a few extra dots with that pen to fill the sky and/or anchor the deer and trees.  I used Parchment notecards and added a strip of printed paper from my Christmas scrap box (some vintage Memory Box, some vintage Basic Grey) or some Key Lime dot paper to each one before tying a cream ribbon around the panel in a bow.  I pop-dotted the snowglobe on each background over the ribbon.  Then I added some sparkle using a clear Wink of Stella pen on the images. On three of the cards I stamped the "happy holidays" greeting from the SCRIBBLE CHRISTMAS CLEAR STAMP SET no. CL5181, again using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Four more cards ready to go!!!

Card #1:

(And aren't these the perfect props to go with the card?! )

Card #2:

Card #3:

Card #4:

The snowflakes are lighter on this one because I stamped it once on scrap paper before stamping it in the snowglobe for a more muted look and I didn't color them in.

And can you see the sparkle in this close-up?

Sooo cute!  Snow day tomorrow so I'm planning on finishing the rest of my Christmas cards so I can get them in the mail this week.

Happy Crafting!

  1. I love all four of these adorable cards, Anne, and the props you chose coordinated so well. It was great seeing you at the bell ringers concert a couple of weeks ago.
    Merry Christmas, Cheryl
