Welcome to the blog blitz and you know what that means…new creativity, new products revealed and lots of inspiration…also, a chance to win today's Lavender Bunch die.
The new Lavender Bunch die was a no-brainer for me–I LOVE lavender and the clippings of lavender in my photos are from my own garden.
First up…a silhouette type card.
I dampened the surface of an oversized watercolor paper panel with plain 'ol water and introduced the colors using these convenient watercolor sheets which I bought from Birch Press Designs. For best results allow each color to dry (or nearly dry) before adding another color so they are a bit more distinct and not muddy together. I often dab a color with a paper towel or cloth if it is on a runaway course. You can always add more color back in if you like and cut down on the water.
Once the colors were in place and dried, I determined the best size and place to position the Pin Dot Rectangle die–it adds such a nice finished edge. Next, I die cut the Lavender Bunch and saved the unused portion for another card–double duty!
I stamped the sentiment and layered the panel using dimensional foam tape onto black card stock, then onto the folded note card.
Who could resist one more chance to use this dynamic die? Not me!
I die cut the Lavender Bunches, twice from green card stock, once from watercolor paper. After coloring the flower heads on the watercolor paper (again using the watercolor sheets), I pieced them onto the green stems and adhered all to a side fold cream colored notecard. Now was my opportunity to use the new "So Many Things To Love" clear stamp and die set again to add the beautiful heart and sentiment. This is a fantastic set which I know will be used a lot.

Two beautiful cards and shows cases the die perfectly , I love lavender too and have lots in my garden the bees and butterflies love it too and they need all the help they can get to survive as they are a major key to the planets survival too ,another reason to love lavender.

Jenny, both cards are really beautiful. I especially like the second one and really who doesn’t love lavender? ( A side note: My sister grows a lot of it and even make a strawberry lavender jam which is yummy!)

These are cards are so pretty am thrilled a lavender die was added to the line. The water coloring works perfectly with these cards. The only things that might make them better is a little bit of lavender perfume. 🙂
