So Many New Products to Love!
by Anne Thompson

Welcome to Day One of the Memory Box Design Team Blog Blitz!  We'll be showcasing many of the newest products from the January 2017 Spring Collection today through January 8th.  Happy New Year!!!  There are indeed so many new products to love!  And there are many chances for you to win prizes if you leave comments for us for each blog post.  We look forward to reading what you have to say about our ideas and the new dies and stamp set.

Today I'm sharing with you a card I made using black cardstock as the base and metallic gold paper for the die cuts.

This is a very fast and simple card to create.  The dies I used are HEART WIRE 99634 and HEART PARTY BORDER 99706.  I attached the Heart Wire with glue dots and used a tape runner on the base of the Heart Party Border.

And there's a surprise on the inside!

I cut a piece of the metallic gold paper with one of the dies from the RECTANGLE BASICS SET 30086.  I stamped "sending love" from the SO MANY THINGS TO LOVE stamp set CL5196 and embossed it with clear powder. (I used a black dye-based ink which seemed to disappear when heat set, leaving the words looking like they were pressed into the paper.)  I attached this with a tape runner inside the card.  I then die cut the PEMBROKE HEART 99613 from more of the same gold paper , placing it on top of the rectangle with a glue dot under the flowers stem so that half of the heart is gold.

Four dies plus one stamp set:

I'll use a gold pen to write a brief message inside and to sign the card.  Elegant!

So what do you think?  Do you have favorites from this release already?  When you leave me a comment, you are automatically entered to win HEART PARTY BORDER 99706!  You have until 11:59pm EST on January 8th to leave your comment.  One comment at random will be chosen to win the new die.  Good luck.

Happy Crafting!

  24. There’s something to be said for simplicity, ELEGANT, is the word. We don’t usually see heart designs except in “Valentine” colors so this is an interesting take of using hearts for other occasions, like weddings, anniversaries, and a good male valentine. Great job, EASY and ELEGANT, what more can you ask for right?
