Good morning! The sun is shining again in Southern California! Our prayers for rain were answered, and then some! Today I'm sharing a monochromatic card that might be used as a "just because" card, a get well card or even a sympathy card.

I used two dies from the Rectangle Basics set to create the frame and the solid piece. I sponged Hickory Smoke Distress Ink through the Cressida stencil for the background on the solid piece and adhered it to the black card base. The sentiment from the So Many Things to Love clear set was inked in Versafine Onyx Black and stamped at the bottom. I then adhered the frame as shown.

I die cut two sets of the Stitched Aster Blooms from white card stock, shaped them and glued them together, offsetting each layer. Two of the Windswept Stems were cut from white and dark gray card stock. Before adhering them to the frame, I bowed them slightly, adding glue to the bottom of the stems and a bit at the top and positioning them so that the slightly bowed shape remained. I adhered the assembled aster blooms to the bottom left corner. Of course there is always room for a little bling, and I was happy to find some gray-ish gem stones in my stash. I added a large one to the flower center, and scattered the others as shown.

If any of you are like me, as in rushing to make a card as I'm going out the door, this is a pretty quick and easy card to put together. Thanks so much for stopping by, and here's to a lovely weekend!
