Greetings friends. If you remember in my last post, I went a little crazy coloring birds. I was joking with my friends that every card I make for the rest of the year is going to have a bird on it. As you can see from my assortment, I played with a large variety of colors. Some of the birds might not be realistic in color, but I chose colors that I like. Today I wanted to share two cards using some of my stash of birds. I chose two different Memory Box dies that I thought would frame the colored birds well.
For the first card, I cut the Graceful Branch Oval die out of kraft cardstock. I colored the branches with a dark brown Copic marker so that they would be a different color from the frame.
Next, I added my little bird that I had colored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and added a saying from the Sentimental Iris stamp set.
A couple of days ago, I shared a picture of all my colored birds on Instagram and asked what color bird I should use. One of the @memoryboxco subscribers named Tracy responded “pink,” so I decided to make a pink card. I started with the Bubble Burst die, which cuts decorative lines as well as circles. I really like this die because it makes it easy to highlight a central image on your card. You could use it for birthdays, holidays, etc.
Once again I colored the bird with the Zig markers and added a saying from the Bird Sanctuary clear set.
I hope you were inspired to do a little coloring of your own. Don’t worry though…. I really don’t plan to put birds on all my future projects!

You could make many cards with this great collection of birds, love how you have colored them all and you have put them to great use on these two cards!
