Hi, Jean Okimoto here, with a quick Valentine idea for you. It's just 2-½ weeks away – let's get started!
Stitched Circle Heartscape can be used in so many ways – and it's great combined with the new Wrapped Stitch Circle Frames too. I've used just the Heartscape's top inner portion with the Wrapped Stitch Circle Frame and inner circle.
Cut the 3.6" Circle Frame from bright pink cardstock. Attach the frame to a top-folded 5.5" square card. Attach the inner circle – slightly offset and overlapping the right edge of the frame.
Cut the heart background section of Stitched Circle Landscape from the Perfectly Plaid Spring paper. Attach it to the pink circle
Cut Happy Penguin twice – from watercolor paper and black cardstock. Use a marker to color two black "eye dots" on a scrap of orange cardstock. Attach it behind the penguin. Layer the additional black penguin behind the white penguin to add dimension.
Cut the head and flippers section from black cardstock. Or – as I did, from a piece of shiny black duct tape attached to a scrap of cardstock. That gives him a glossy look – like he just emerged from a quick winter swim.
Stamp the greeting – from the So Many Things to Love Clear Stamp Set – with Lightning Black Brilliance.
Cut Dibble Hearts Border from pink glittered cardstock. Attach small hearts to the penguin and the background. Accent the greeting with the bigger heart.
Add orange gem stickers.

Thanks Shelley! Used Shizen Design’s watercolor paper because it matches the crisp white Impress ultra-smooth cardstock used for the card. Some of the other WC papers have a ivory-ish color. It also adds some nice texture – like a fluffy penguin.

Plaid and Penguins ROCK! I am so glad I bought this happy little die. The black duct tape is perfect on him and I really like the addition of the orange gems to the card. The heartscape die is a wonderful background for so many card designs. Thanks again for the inspiration, Jean!
