Bee Happy
by Laura Fulcher

Greetings friends.  Today I wanted to show you the Intricate Bee die paired with a background made from the Honeycomb Square craft die.  I absolutely love using bees and butterflies on cards and tend to use them for just about every occasion.  For this particular card, I made it a “bee happy card” by using a “be mine” die and a “happy birthday” die.  I appreciate being able to get more out of my dies than just their intended uses.

To make the card, I cut out the bee and words from black cardstock (you need to cut out the word “be” twice to make “bee”).  Next, I cut out the honeycomb three times to get it to fit across the card.  When I glued the honeycomb onto light yellow paper, I made sure to glue some of the inside hexagons onto the card to make it look more like honeycomb.  I glued dark yellow cardstock behind the bee wings and bee body to give it color.  As a final step, I added Glossy Accents to wings to give them shine and dimension.  Here is a closeup of the wings:

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
