Joy
by Donna Sledzik

Happy Friday everyone and welcome to day 5 of  the Memory Box Blog Blitz!

I hope you are enjoying all the design team's inspiring posts!

There are so many wonderful products in this new release that it was hard to decide what to use!  I loved the simplicity of the Joy Circle die so I thought I would start with that as my focal point.

I began by adhering a piece of plaid washi tape to the left side of my card front. I placed my joy die in middle of the card and die cut it.  This left me with a circle that was cut through the washi tape as well as the cardstock and the die cut image.  I was able to peel off the washi tape from my die cut, but if you have difficulty peeling the tape off, just die cut another one from white cardstock.

Next I spattered the background with black ink and stamped a few music notes on the card front.  Then I adhered this to a red mat layer and glued it to a white card base.

I glued the Joy die cut inside the circle.

Next I stamped and embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder on a strip of black cardstock.  The sentiment said "joy to the world" but I masked the word joy and used the rest of the sentiment for my card. I stamped, colored and die cut the bunny and glued it to the sentiment strip of paper.  I used foam tape to adhere it to the card front.

I hope I inspired you today!

How would you like a chance to win the Joy Circle craft die?

Leave a comment to this post by Sunday, August 12th.  One comment will be chosen at random to win the die.  The winner will be posted on the Outside the Box blog on Monday, August 13th at 6 pm EST.

Good Luck!
