Greetings friends. We are starting off a Blog Blitz today to show you the latest dies and stamp set from the Garden Bouquet release. The blitz will run from Mon, May 6th- Sunday, May 12th with a new sample each day and a chance to win a prize each day. I hope you will join us for the fun!
For today's card, I wanted to do some paper piecing with the new Antique Garden Label and some watercolor paper I had colored with Colorburst powders, Metalic Colorburst liquids and a lot of water. The background was incredibly easy to make. All I did was take a non-stick craft mat, sprinkle it with powders, add a couple drops of the metallic paint and then spritz the whole thing with water. I then dragged 14olb watercolor paper through the paints and let them dry.
I used a background that had spots of red, orange and yellow to cut out some flowers:

I knew the flowers would all coordinate because they were all part of the same piece of watercolor paper, but I had flowers that were different colors from each other.
I cut out my frame from black paper and glued it to a red card that had a strip of kraft and gold cardstock:

I paper pieced my watercolor flowers and green cardstock leaves and then finally added a sentiment from the Big and Little Words clear set.
As a final step, I added a few gold rhinestones for a little extra bling:

Would you like to win your own Antique Garden Label die? Leave a comment to this post by 11:59pm EST on Sunday, May 12th. One winner will be selected at random to win the new die. All winners will be posted on the Outside the Box blog on Monday, May 13th at 6pm EST. Good luck, and I hope you will visit us often this week!
