Watercolored Metallic Background
by Laura Fulcher

Greetings friends.  Today I created a quick background with blue watercolor paints and splattered with an assortment of gold and silver watercolor paint.

To make the background, I started with 140lb cold press watercolor paper and spritzed it with water.  I then dabbed multiple colors of blue paint until the colors all bled together.  I let the paint almost dry completely and then splattered the piece with an old toothbrush and some metallic paint.  Here is a close up:

Once my paint was completely dry, I added my snowflakes and sentiment.  I also added a piece of gold metallic paper behind my blue background and behind my white piece sentiment to really bring out the silver metallic paint on the card.  As a final touch, I added a few rhinestones for sparkle:

I hope everyone has a great weekend!
