Joy Christmas Ornament
by Donna Sledzik

Hi everyone!  Today I have a fun Christmas ornament project for you.

To create the ornament, I used the "Twas the Night Wide Washi Tape" to cover a wooden ornament I bought at the craft store.  I trimmed the excess tape from the ornament and used a piece of sandpaper the smooth the edges.

I stamped the word "Joy" and heat embossed it with red embossing powder.  I sponged the edge of the ornament with white acrylic and sprinkled glitter over the paint.

Next I die cut the "Antique Pine Label Die" from a piece cardstock from the 6"x 6" Dashing Stripes and Dots paper pad.  I cut the pine branches from the label and glued them to the top of the ornament.  I used a gold paint pen to color the top of the ornament.

To finish the ornament, I spattered it with white acrylic paint and added some red pearls for berries.

I hope enjoyed this project and have a great week!

  1. Love your ornament Donna! The pine branches look very realistic. It’s another die to add to my wish list.

  2. Really pretty ornament, Donna. And it’s something that even I could do! Thanks for the idea!
