Double-Emboss the Scribble Rose Trio by Jean Okimoto

Add dimension to the background of the Scribble Rose Trio by pressure-embossing and heat-embossing it to a glossy finish.  Add a Verdant Leaf for contrast, a Double Stitch Happy Heart Cut Out layer and a quick greeting from the Big and Little Valentines set.

Hello, Jean Okimoto here with two techniques to extend the use of a favorite die from our 2020 Valentine’s Collection.  I’ve used the Scribble Rose Trio for several cards here on the blog – and for classes at Impress.  Here’s another technique to take advantage of this popular die set.

Cut the solid Scribble Rose Trio background from Petunia cardstock.  Pressure-emboss it with the detailed die.  Use a soft rubber brayer to ink the raised areas of the embossed pattern with VersaMark.  Heat-emboss it with detail clear powder.

Cut Verdant Leaf from Flintstone cardstock.

Cut the largest Double Stitch Happy Heart Cut Out from Romance cardstock.    Pressure-emboss it with the set’s second-largest die.

Attach the diecuts to a side-folded white A-2 card.  Trim it with a corner rounding punch.

Stamp the greeting – from the Big and Little Valentines Clear Stamps Set – on a strip of Romance cardstock with Morning Mist VersaFine Clair.  Attach the greeting with foam tape.  Add silver gem stickers.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again at the February 8th POPPYSTAMPS + BIRCH PRESS TOO! class at Impress.  We’re using great designs from both companies – and Memory Box classics – on cards for any occasion.

Thanks for visiting…be sure to enter our February Hearts Challengs!
