Good morning everyone, today I have a simple card using a combination of new and old products.
I began by die cutting the Woodgrain Heart from white cardstock and used Distress Oxide Inks to add color to the heart.

Next, I created the background using a blender brush to apply ink through a stencil.

There was ink left on the stencil, so I spritzed it with water and placed it ink side down on anther piece of cardstock. I placed a dry paper towel over the stencil and pressed it into the paper. This way you get two backgrounds.

I intended to use the first background for my card, but I liked the second one better for this project.
Next, I glued the heart to the left side of the background and trimmed off the excess. Then I adhered the background to a black cardstock layer and used foam tape to glue it to a white card base.
I die cut the word love from black cardstock and glued it to my card. Next, I stamped the word “you” on a strip of black cardstock and white heat embossed it. Then I adhered it to my card front.

To finish the card I added a few sequins and that’s it.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week!

I love the stenciling behind the heart.
Great tip about spritzing the stencil to get another background!
Beautiful card Donna!
Love both backgrounds but like you prefer the one you used for this design. Great card.
