Spring Slimline Card
by Donna Sledzik

Good morning everyone! Today I have a Spring themed slimline card for you. I used  products from the new 2021 Spring Release to create this card.

I began by die cutting one of the Wrapped Stitched Slim Rectangles from white cardstock. Next, I placed painters tape on the long sides of the die cut to create a 1/4″ border on the rectangle. I used Distress Oxide Ink to make a blended background on the rectangle and spattered the background with plain water before I removed the tape. The Distress Oxide colors I used were Dried Marigold, Ripe Persimmon, and Picked Raspberry.

Once the background was dry I stamped and gold heat embossed the sentiment.

Next I stamped and Gold heat embossed the flowers and painted them with same Distress Oxide colors I used for the background. I used the coordinating die to cut the flowers. I also trimmed a few leaves off the bottom of the stamped image to fit my card design.  Next, I die cut the small Crystal Frame twice from gold foil paper and cut the die cuts in half to fit behind the stamped image.

I glued the foil die cuts to the card and used foam tape to adhere the flowers.

Next, I used foam tape to adhere the background to a white card base. That’s it!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card and have a great weekend!

  1. Simply stunning card design! The salmon colors are a favorite of mine. Really like the pairing with the crystal frames behind the flowers.

  2. Thanks everyone for the kind words!
Barbara the stamp set I used was CL5266 Joyful moments clear stamp set. I am so sorry I didn’t realize it had not come up in my supply list.
