Spring Birthday Slimline
by Trina Pham

Happy Wednesday everyone.  I have a spring floral slimline birthday card to share today using products from the Spring release.

Started by stamping the flower image from All the Happiness stamp set in Fade Out ink on hot press watercolor paper.  Did no-line watercoloring using Karin markers.  Finished with Polychromous color pencils to add fine details.   Die cut it out with the coordinating die, then splattered with white gouache paint and Worn Lipstick distress ink (DI) for some texture.

The background and sentiments are from Birch Press Crystal Lingo stamp set.  The crystal background was white heat embossed three times on Bristol paper then die cut out with the second largest Slim Basic Rectangle die.   Added Worn Lipstick DI with a blender brush, then wiped off excess ink with a paper towel (emboss resist).  Happy was black heat embossed on Bristol paper, ombré watercolored in grey and die cut out with the matching die.   The other part of the sentiment was white heat embossed on a black cardstock strip.  Assembled the card onto a 3.5”x8.5” white card base to finish.

Once again, I was inspired by this month’s Beautiful  Backgrounds challenge?  Anyway, that’s it from me for today.  Thank you for joining me.
