Snowflake Shaker
by Trina Pham

Hello everyone.  I have a simple snowflake shaker card to share today using the Gloriette Snowflake Collage die from the current 2022 Christmas release.

Started by doing an ombré watercolor wash background on watercolor paper using Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry distress inks. Once it was dry, used the outline snowflake die to die cut an opening.  Backed the opening with acetate, then die cut the detailed snowflake from white glitter paper.  Adhered the glitter snowflake on the acetate within the snowflake outline opening.

Flipped over to the backside and added foam tape around the snowflake to create a “reservoir” for the shaker bits.  To help prevent the shaker bits from sticking, applied an anti static powder along the foam tape.  Removed the foam adhesive lining and filled the reservoir with a combination of clear drops and sequins.  Covered the back with a piece of Bristol paper.  White heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock, then assembled the card onto a white card base to finish.

Before I go, I want to wish my fellow Canadians a happy Thanksgiving today.  Thank you for joining me.  Have a wonderful day.
