Hello everyone! Today’s bright and cheerful card features new products from the 2023 Memory Box February Release.
I love cards that are created with blended ink backgrounds and black silhouettes for the focal point. When I saw the Backyard Floral Stems Die I knew that it would be perfect for that type of card.
I created an ink blended background on white cardstock, using Distress Oxide Inks and blender brushes.
Next, I spattered the background with plain water and gold ink and let it dry.
I die cut the Floral Stems twice from black cardstock and glued them to my background. I did cut apart one of the die cuts and only used pieces from it. I trimmed the excess die cuts from my background and glued it to a black cardstock mat, which was adhered to a white card base.
The word best was die cut from gold foil paper and the shadow from black cardstock. I glued the gold foil word to the shadow die cut and adhered it to the card.
I stamped the word wishes in black ink under the word best.
To finish the card, I glued a strip of black cardstock across the bottom of the card to add a little interest.
