Here's a quick and easy way to make three cards using just three pieces of Memory Box 6X6 paper and some solid card stock. These cards continue my focus this month on using lots of patterned papers on a card.

My quilting friends call this technique Stack and Whack. Basically you start with three coordinating papers, stack them up, and cut them together.

I chose three coordinating papers from GARLAND PP1010 and JOLLY CHRISTMAS PP1019.
I stacked them and cut them 3 3/4 X 5. Keeping them stacked I then cut them into three pieces. My paper cutter did not like this, even with a new blade, so I ended up keeping them together, drawing lines on the top one, and cutting them apart with my big scissors.

You can really cut them however you'd like as long as you end up with three pieces of each paper and they are all the same size.
Next, cut three pieces of card stock in a coordinating color. They need to be 4 X 5 1/4. Arrange your patterned paper pieces on the card stock rectangles, using all three patterns on each card. You can either leave a small space between the papers so the card stock shows a bit or snugly match them up. Add these finished panels to white note cards.

I then added ST002 MERRY CHRISTMAS FOIL GREETINGS ROSE TABS to the cards. (I love that the plaid papers help me to get them on straight!)

You could stop right here and have three finished cards. I did that with one of mine. For the other two, I kept going, adding a bow to one and CHRISTMAS FAIRY DEWDROPS DDP101 to another.

You could even go further by adding a die cut image or a stamped small panel, or you could change out the sentiment to one die cut or stamped on a card stock banner. So many options!
I started another set using papers with lots of greens and green card stock. You could make winter cards this way with the snowflake papers, blue plaids, and blue card stock. This is a great technique for any time of the year or for any occasion. And it's a good way to use up some papers in your stash. Fun!
Happy Crafting!
