I used the Ethereal Butterflies die cuts in a class I taught this past week at the local senior center. I chose a beautiful teal blue paper from the Lagoon 6X6 card stock pad for the butterflies. As they added the butterflies to their front panels, one participant suggested that they add antennae. So I brought out the fine point pens. Another person used one of the tiny butterflies on top of the inked one. The card I have for this post uses the panel that I created after class incorporating the women's suggestions.

materials used for the front and the inside
- top fold A2 white note card
- a print paper from ANEMONE GROVE PP1026
- teal card stock from LAGOON 6X6 SP1010
- white card stock for the center panel
- a scrap of black card stock for the butterfly bodies
- ETHEREAL BUTTERFLIES 94885
- HELLO BUTTERFLY CLEAR STAMP SET CL5289
- Hero Arts Tide Pool ink; VersaFine Clair Nocturne (black) ink
- colored pencils in shades of turquoise and blue; fine point black ink pen

to make the front of this card
- cut the floral paper from Anemone Grove 4 X 5 1/4 and add to the front of the top fold A2 note card
- cut a piece of the teal card stock 4 3/4 X 3 1/2 and add on top of the floral paper
- cut a piece of white card stock 4 1/4 X 3; ink the edges with the Tide Pool ink; stamp "Just a note" using the Tide Pool Ink anywhere on the panel
- die cut the Ethereal Butterflies from the teal card stock; adhere them to the white panel
- die cut the bodies from the Ethereal Butterflies set using a small scrap of black card stock and add them to three of the butterflies; draw on the antennae
- add this panel to the front of the note card

for the inside of the note card
- stamp the large butterfly from the Hello Butterfly clear stamp set using VersaFine Clair Nocturne (black) ink
- color the butterfly using colored pencils
- stamp "sent with love" from the Hello Butterfly clear stamp set using VersaFine Clair Nocturne (black) ink
And here's a look at the inside of the card.

I've been working with pretty much the same group of women once a month for over a year now. When we first started working together I always made a sample for them to go by. Now I just bring the supplies and the die cuts and some ideas and they make beautiful cards that are similar but each one is a little different. So much fun!
One more idea: Stamp the tiny butterfly in Tide Pool ink on the envelope for just a hint of what's inside!
Happy Crafting!
