Today's card features the floral stamp from the WITH SYMPATHY CL5291 Clear Stamp Set. By stamping and watercoloring the flower twice, I was able to cut out pieces from one to stack onto the other.
materials used
- white A2 note card (side fold)
- plaid paper from GLADIOLA PLAID PP1027
- the third from the largest of the HERITAGE RECTANGLE FRAMES 94883
- the floral stamp from WITH SYMPATHY CL5291 Clear Stamp Set
- watercolor paper and watercolor paints

to make this card
- cut a piece of the plaid paper 5 1/4 X 4 and add it to the front of the note card
- stamp the floral image twice on watercolor paper–I used VersaFine Clair Nocturne (black) ink
- color the floral image with watercolor paints using a detail brush
- die cut one of the images using the Heritage Rectangle Frame (the third from the largest)
- add this floral panel to the front of the note card using Scor-Tape
- use detail scissors to cut out the flower blossom from the other watercolored image as well as some of the leaves
- use dimensional foam dots to add the blossom and leaves to the note card panel

I like the added dimension on the finished card. I decided to offset the single blossom rather than place it on top of the first one. In looking at this card now, I think I'll add one more leaf–to the one at the bottom center that the frame cut off–as I think that will help to balance the blossom that also goes over the edge of the frame. I'll add a message and an appropriate sentiment inside the card when I'm ready to send it out. There are lovely sentiments with this particular clear stamp set, and not only for use on sympathy cards.
Happy Crafting!
