Hello everyone! It is my very first post on the Memory Box Blog and I could not be happier to have joined this wonderful team. Today I am featuring a sweet Thank You card featuring the new Gypsy Swallow-tail Die and the Magnolia Leaf Branch.
Background:
To create the ink-blended background I first made a stencil from an A2 panel of 80lb white cardstock and the third largest die from the new Heritage Rectangles Frames set as shown, making sure to save the inner frame for a future project. Next, using low-tack tape, I tape my paper stencil to another white A2 panel and I gently ink-blended a sunrise scene using Dye Inks from Altenew: Butternut, Peachy Keen, and Tangerine Dream. Once my ink-blending was complete I add a little gold splatter with my Gansai Tambi Starry Colors metallic watercolor pan set.

Gypsy Swallow-Tail:
I die cut the elements using 3 complementary colors from the Sunrise paper pack and glued the pieces together following the guide on the back of the packaging.
Magnolia Leaf Branch:
I die cut the main branch and leaves from both 80lb white cardstock and Kraft cardstock from my stash. I used Distress Oxide Ground Espresso to darken the branch portion of the main die-cut cut from Kraft and I used Altenew Green Opal Dye ink to color the leaves attached to the branch. For the remaining leaf die-cuts cut from white cardstocl, I used a combination of Altenew Green Opal and Mossy Meadows Die Inks. I glued everything together as shown on the back of the packaging, also attaching my extra white branch die-cut for added dimension.
Assembly:
I attached the branch to the background panel as shown with glue. Next, I attached the Gypsy Swallow-tail using thick and thin foam tape for added dimension. To finish everything off, I added a black and gold foil “Thank You” sentiment tab and attached my finished panel to a folding A2-sized card-base.
