Hello everyone! Samantha here today on the Memory Box blog and I am so excited to share a super cute slimline card featuring the Town Mouse die set from the new July release.

Background:
I love a slimline card. Instead of using a basic card panel cut with my paper trimmer, I decided to use the partial die-cutting technique to turn a Heritage Rectangle Frame from an A2 frame die into a slimline frame.
To start, I grabbed the second largest frame from the die set measuring ~3.5” on it shortest side. I then cut a piece of 110lb white card stock 3.5” x 8.5” to use as my base. I taped my frame to the top of the card-base and partially die cut it stopping just before the bottom of the die. Next, I repositioned my frame die onto the opposite side of the card-base, lining up the tiny cut details on the opposite side and partially ran it through my die machine again. I removed my tape and die and my slimline panel was made.
To finish everything off, I ink-blended a little Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina where my elements would go followed by gold splatter with metallic watercolor paints.
Town Mouse:
I die-cut the body elements for my mouse using kraft and ivory colored cardstock from my stash. I used Copic markers to color in the pink nose, tail, and black eyes, and then I ink-blended the ears and cheeks with a pink dye ink. I also ink-blended some darker brown shadows on the kraft cardstock pieces for dimension. For her cute jacket, I used both dark and lighter pink cardstocks pulled from the Blush Paper Pack. Once everything was colored, I assembled her as shown on the back of the packaging.

Garden Pail Bouquet:
I die cut all of my elements for the Garden Pail using brushed silver and kraft cardstocks from my stash. I rubbed a little Distress Oxide Black Soot into the pail pieces along with some black watercolor splatter before gluing together. Next, I die cut all of my flower elements using cardstock from the Blush, Lagoon, Sunrise, and Greenery paper packs and I assembled the flowers with glue and thin foam tape.

Final Assembly:
I wanted my scene to show the garden pail tipped over with all of the flowers cascading out from the opening. I carefully laid out my scene, rearranging the flowers until I was satisfied. Then I adhered them using both glue as well as thick and thin foam tape for dimension. Once everything was glued down, I die cut a black cardstock thank you using the Cheery Thank You die and I glued my card panel to a dark pink mat measuring 3.75” x 8.75” before attaching everything to a folding white slimline card-base
