Snowglobe Shape Christmas Card
by Sara Cook

Hi everyone. I have a snow globe shaped card using the Nested Globes die set and the new coordinating dies to create a Christmas card.

Background:

Die cut the largest die from the Nested Globe die set from white card stock.  Ink blend all over using Elements Della Blue and then around the edges with Dark Denim.  Heat dry completely. Stamp the Aurora Snowflake with white pigment ink.  Heat dry completely. Use the Snow Flurries stencil with embossing ink and thick white embossing powder.

Globe Elements:

Die cut the Pine Tree Grove from dark and light green card stock.  Ink blend the dark with Distress Pine Needle and the light with Mowed Lawn.  Adhere together.  Apply matte collage medium.  Let dry.  Add Snowfall Grit Paste. Let dry.  Die but the bottom portion o the Winter Tree Arch and trim away the trees for just the snow bank.  Adhere to the background.

Snow Globe Base:

Die cut the largest Nested Globe Bases die set from Kraft woodgrain card stock.  Ink blend heavy on end and lighter in the center with Distress Vintage Photo.  Die cut the top and bottom from shiny gold paper from Rainbow Reflections Mirror pad and adhere together.  Adhere a Merry Christmas Foil Greetings White Tabs to the center. Adhere the base ti the snow globe.

Assembly:

Die cut a Kraft A2 size card base using the largest Nested Globes die set.  Make sure the left hand side of the die is over the fold so it does not cut it.  Die cut using the 2nd larges Nested Globe die set from dark brown card stock.  Adhere the 2 together.  Adhere the snow globe using foam tape to the card.
