I had never heard of allium until I moved to Northern Illinois and there were lots of flower gardens with this really interesting huge purple flower! I instantly fell in love. It's such a cool flower. I really just like the unique look of it. So, needless to say, I was excited to see that Dave featured the flower in the What's in the Box 2012 collection.
Here's my version of a card with the Reverse Allium stamp (E1834).

Instructions:
- Ink up Reverse Allium stamp with Versamark and stamp onto purple/white polka dot paper from Viola 6 X 6 paper pack.

- Heat emboss using white embossing powder. Trim this piece around the white.
- Using a finger dauber, color the allium with dusty concord ink and the stems with Shabby Shutters. Wipe off any excess with a tissue. The embossed area acts as a resist!
- Adhere to lavender card stock and set aside.
- Die cut Tessatina Border 98302 from dark purple paper (also from Viola 6 X 6 paper pack).

-
You'll cut this border in half. Here's a pic showing where to cut.

- Attach each half to the top and bottom of the lavender paper. You may have to trim a bit off. Attach to the front of a Sweet Corn Note Card using foam tape.
- Die cut Darla Butterfly (solid butterfly) 98264 from purple/white polka dot paper and the Vivienne Butterfly-98265 from the dark purple paper. Attach the Vivienne Butterfly to the Darla Butterfly with some Claudine Hellmuth Matte Multi-Medium just to the center of the butterfly. Attach the body of the butterfly with Multi-Medium and attach to front of card also with Multi-Medium.
Soon the allium will be blooming and the butterflies flocking to them! Can't wait!
