Hello Riverbank Large Layered Blooms in Blues
by Anne Thompson

This month's challenge is Colorful Creations and I've got April Showers on my mind so I took out the Madras Plaid Blue and Violet papers as the starting point for a colorful blues-y hello card.

materials used

  • white notecard and envelope
  • a variety of blue plaids from MADRAS PLAID BLUE AND VIOLET PP1014
  • a small white paper doily
  • two blue cardstocks from the FRESH AQUA COLLECTION SP1004
  • RIVERBANK LARGE LAYERED BLOOMS 94649
  • HELLO STREAMLINED SCRIPT 94540
  • BRIGHT FAIRY JEWELS JWL003 (bright aqua blue)
  • CHRISTMAS FAIRY CRYSTALS CRY102 (blue)
  • circle die to fit the center of the doily
  • glue dots, glue pen, tape runner

to make this card

  • trim a piece of blue plaid paper from the Madras Plaid Blue and Violet PP1014 paper pad 4 X 5 1/4 and add to the front of a white notecard
  • secure the center of the white paper doily to the front panel
  • die cut a light blue cardstock circle using the circle die and paper from the Fresh Aqua Collection SP1004 and add it to the center of the doily
  • cut two of the Riverbank Large Layered Blooms 94649, one from a medium blue cardstock from the Fresh Aqua Collection and one from a different blue plaid from the Madras Plaid Blue and Violet paper pad; assemble them using glue dots; add blue crystals from Christmas Fairy Crystals CRY102 to the flower centers

  • use glue dots to attach the two flowers to the left side of the circle/doily; add a blue satin ribbon bow and three small jewels from the Christmas Fairy Jewels JWL003 to the right of the flowers

  • add a small rectangle cut to tuck under the doily
  • die cut Hello Streamlined Script 94540 from a scrap of the light blue cardstock that was used for the center circle
  • use a glue pen to attach "hello" to the plaid rectangle

a pretty card that can be sent to anyone for any occasion…

Happy Crafting!
