Winter Bird House Scene Card
by Sara Cook

Hi everyone.  I have a winter scene card featuring the Snowy Birdhouse.

Backgrund:

Ink blend an A2 size white panel with Distress Oxide Stormy Sky and Iced Spruce ink. Going heavy from the outside and lighter to the middle.  Splatter with water and pat off with a towel.  Then splatter with Stormy Sky ink.

Die Cuts:

Die cut the Snowy Birdhouse, Little Birds, and Brilliant Berries from heavy weight white card stock.  Die cut the Pine Branches from a dark color paper from the Lagoon paper pad. Ink blend the berries, tops of the birds, and bird house with Distress Lumberjack Plaid ink.  Ink blend to add a show to the snow roof, hole opening, and bottom of the birds with Distress Lost Shadow. Use a dark brown watercolor marker and color the pole and branches.   Adhere the die cuts together using the even lope as a guide.

Assembly:

Adhere the background to an A2 size white card.  Fussy cut a snow hill into a 4 1/4″ by 2″ piece of heavy white card.  Add foam tape to the back, around the sides and bottom, leaving the top with no adhesive.  Adhere it to the bottom of the background.  Adhere the Pine Branches to the top and top sides of the card.  Adhere the berry branches behind the snowy hill, tucking them behind the paper.  Adhere the birdhouse to the center.  Adhere the birds around the berries, branches and top of the birdhouse.  Stamp LET IT Snow from the Holiday Wishes stamp set to the bottom right side using VersaFine Clair Twighlight.  Splatter with white gesso.
