Holly Sprig

Today’s card features the Holly Sprig stamp (D1773) and matching die (98206).  I love this stamp because it’s perfect to color with Copics.

  1. Using Sizzix embossing folder and emboss a piece of 5 ¼” X 3 “Jupiter Soiree paper.  Once embossed, trim this piece to 5 X 2 ¾”.   Punch bottom of this piece with Fiskars punch or better yet die cut with one of the wonderful Memory Box border dies.
  2. Cut Candy Cane paper 1 5/8” X 5” and adhere to bottom of Licorice 4 X 5 ¼” mat and then adhere the embossed Jupiter card stock to the top.  Add this piece to front of Jupiter Soiree Note Card.
  3. Stamp Holly Sprig using Memento Black ink onto Neenah white card stock.  Color with Copics as follows:
    • Leaves – YG03, G24, G28
    • Berries – R83, R85, R89
  4. Trim around outside lines of Holly Sprig and set aside
  5. Die cut a piece of Licorice card stock with Holly Sprig die then adhere stamped holly sprig to mat.  Add this piece to top of card using foam tape.
  6. Stamp Christmas Wishes with Black Memento ink onto white cardstock and trim around outside line.  Lightly distress edges with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink and finger dauber.
  7. Die cut strip of Licorice card stock with Bistro Label and adhere stamped image to top of label with foam tape.  Attach all to card front.
  8. Add Poinsettia Robin’s Nest to label.
  9. Finally, add Fired Brick Distress Stickles to holly berries and allow to dry.  You can heat set Distress Stickles (but NEVER heat set regular Stickles).

Hope you enjoy!

  1. Darling card, Linda! The papers are so pretty and the embossing folder you chose is perfect. That embossing folder would also work with the papers and ornament stamp that came out last year! (Ornament Cheer, E1408).
