Maple Wreath

We are starting to see a touch of fall in New England with the leaves just beginning to show their beautiful colors. I wanted to share this card I made for a recent class we had at Ink About It.

Materials used: Maple Wreath stamp G1793, Maple Wreath die 98200, Sweet Corn note, kraft paper, May Arts sage green silk ribbon, Perfect Pearls Sunflower Spritz, Ranger Distress stains: peeled paint, wild honey, fired brick & vintage photo

I stamped and cut the wreath with the matching die from cream cardstock. Next, I randomly rubbed over the image with the various distress stains to create the look of colorful fall leaves. Perfect Pearls Sunflower spritz gave the wreath a little shimmer, as you can see in the photo. I added a sage green silk ribbon bow with a glue dot and attached the wreath with foam tape. The kraft paper layer was run through the cuttlebug with a Sizzix embossing folder and the raised areas were highlighted by sponging over it using Vintage Photo ink.

 My recommendation, if you want to re-create the card, is to make several once you get your materials out. The card is simple and fun to make, and you can use it for a variety of fall occasions – so make a bunch and keep them handy.
