We're going to make a bunch of these cards in this afternoon's class at Your Maine Stamper.
I took pictures outside on Sunday afternoon and you can see the shadows cast by the bows and the image.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new Prim Poppy Die No. 98310! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the newest 6X6 Viola paper collection! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE combining them on the new slate notecards!
These cards go together very quickly once everything is cut out. I started by cutting the Prim Poppy Die No. 98310 over and over again on scraps of black cardstock using my Cuttlebug. Then I opened a package of 6X6 Viola papers and cut several sheets down to 4"x5". For the black and white card, I just flipped over the piece I cut off and used that as the white backdrop for the flowers silhouette. The black bows are pop-dotted and packaged in sixes that I found at ACMoore. The white bows are from a huge box of bows I bought at a yard sale ten years ago.
To assemble, select a notecard, glue on the Viola paper, add the poppy (glue dots on the bud and blossoms and at the place where the stems cross), and pop on a bow. Easy Peasy! Wouldn't a box of six or eight make a lovely gift for a friend?! Just vary the inside sentiments or leave them blank.
