Shimmery Pear

Oh, how I’m enjoying the beautiful designs created by the other design team members.  Hope you are, too! 

I’ve had so much fun making cards and tags with the new Holiday 2012 – What’s in the Box Collection.  Dave really outdid himself this time, didn’t he?

I found myself drawn to the Classic Pear and Embellished Pear dies (among many others).  It’s very versatile and I can see it being used for a fall or holiday card.

Here’s what I came up with….

Memory Box Supplies:

Dies:  Classic Pear die, Embellished Pear die,

Paper: Vanilla Bean, Squash Dots, 6X6 Nightfall, Squash Gingham, White, Dill, Parchment

Stamps:  Just a Note Combo

Instructions:

  • Die cut Classic Pear from white or cream paper.  Distress with inks of your choice.  I used Fired Brick, Shabby Shutters, and Scattered Straw.
  • Die cut Embellished Pear from Vanilla Bean Paper.  Heat emboss with Ranger Holographic embossing powder.  Attach to classic pear with random drops of clear glue and set aside.
  • Cut Squash Dots 4 X 5 1/4 and distress with Tea Dye ink and attach to Vanilla Bean Note Card
  • Cut designer paper from 6X6 Nightfall Collection to 4 X 2 and distress with Tea Dye ink then attach to Vanilla Bean mat and attach to front of card.
  • Cut Squash Gingham to 4 3/8 X 2 7/8 and distress with Tea Dye ink then attach to Vanilla Bean mat and attach to front of card
  • Add pear to the front of card and pop up with foam tape.
  • Die cut stem and leaf (comes with the Classic Pear die) from Dill paper and add to top of pear
  • Stamp Just a Note Combo with brown ink onto Parchment paper and trim end into flag.  Add to pear and top off with a button and twine.

  2. Who would have thought a pear could be so pretty ! Love the way you blended the colors and then added the sparkle with the holographic embossing powder. So very pretty !
