Cosenza Trees in Fall Colors

1

Shorter days and fall colors have already arrived – and the Cosenza Tree Border Outline is a great way to welcome the new season.  Jean Okimoto here today, with a very technique-y card for you.

Memory Box Products

  • Cosenza Tree Border Outline Die 98864
  • Vanilla Bean Cardstock
  • Mocha Notecard
  • Mocha Envelope

Imagine Crafts Products

  • Autumn Leaves Kaleidacolor Inkpad
  • Tangelo Fireworks Spritz
  • Golden Glitz Delicata Inkpad
  • Craft Mat

Create a warm background for the Cosenza Tree Border Outline with water-blended inks from the Autumn Leaves Kaleidacolor.  Add a few quick spritzes of Tangelo Fireworks for shimmery highlights.  Stencil the treetops with Golden Glitz – then add sequins to round out this fall scene.

Here’s a quick, easy way to attach our intricate diecuts.  Mark the back of the cardstock or paper with a rough outline of the die to use as a guide.  This die is almost symmetrical, so you can outline it either face-up or -down.  Attach Scor-Tape strips in several areas, then diecut the cardstock and the tape.

Use a toothpick to remove the unwanted pieces, then attach the diecut to your background.  Easy – and it takes just a few strips of tape!  You could attach verticial strips of tape – but the 'un-sticky' areas on the treetrunks make them easier to handle.

Big, big THANKS to everyone who took the InKOLLAGE  and Memory Box Calendar classes at Impress!  Hope you liked the inky techniques from InKOLLAGE – and the calendar designs are also great on A2 cards.  In addition to the calendar you'll have 12 card ideas to use throughout the year!

Thanks for dropping by – please visit our Ideas Gallery for more product info and detailed directions for today’s design.

Hope you'll have time to stop by again this evening for another card…

  1. This is beautiful, but I wish you could do a video instead of written instructions. What is second nature to you is not for everyone else.

  2. Thanks! Someone said they might do a video for this card – I’ll post a link here when it’s ready. Have you seen the detailed directions in the Ideas Gallery? Hope that will be of some help in the meantime.
