Peace on Earth
by Laura Fulcher

Greetings friends.  It has been quite a while since I have played with my watercolor pencils, so I thought it was about time to reacquaint myself with them.

To make the card, I started by stamping my mistletoe image at the top of white cardstock using black Versafine ink.  I then turned the stamp upside down and stamped it again at the bottom of the card.  I thought the two sprigs of mistletoe made a nice frame for my sentiment in the middle.

To color the mistletoe, I used my Inktense watercolor pencils to color the leaves and berries and then softened everything with a Dove Blender pen.  You could use a paintbrush and water, but I think you have a bit more control with the blender pen because it isn’t quite as wet as the brush.  Here is a close up of the coloring to get a better look:

To finish the card, I used the peace die cut and the “on Earth” sentiment before edging the card with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink.

Have a great weekend!
