Simple Noel Card with Dashing Holiday Papers
by Vicki Finger

Hello there!  It’s Vicki here with you today featuring a quick and easy holiday card using some of the products from the 2019 Holiday Release.  There’s just a little more than 3 weeks left (not counting Sundays when there is no mail) to send out your holiday cards before Christmas is here.  Although, I can tell you I never mind it when I get a few after Christmas Day either.  So even if you’re a few days late, send them anyhow!

For today’s card, I started with a white card base made with Cougar Super Smooth Digital White Cardstock.  Using the 2nd largest Rectangle Basics die, I cut one from the teal, green, and white Snowflake Pattern Paper you can find in the Dashing Holiday Paper Pack.  As usual, I gave it several mists of shimmer spray and then set it under a heavy glass block I have to dry flat.

Next, I die cut the Antique Holly Label from White and Green Shimmer Cardstock.    I adhered the white outline to the patterned paper, then I inlaid the sentiment strip and the holly leaves of the green shimmer cardstock into the outline using Ranger Multi Medium Matte.

I die cut the Noel word from Mini Vintage Varsity Christmas dies.  To do this, I ran a strip of white cardstock, slightly larger than my sentiment through my little Xyron Sticker Maker before cutting this so that these tiny letters would already have adhesive on them.  This made placement super easy.  I usually start with the center one or two letters and then work my way out to keep everything pretty centered.  I don’t measure, I just eyeball it.  *Ü*

I embellished the holly leaves with some “hole-less” sequins in three sizes for the berries.  You could use Liquid Pearls, Nuvo Drops or any sequins or gems you might have on hand.  Once the glue was dry, I added my panel to the front of my card base.

Looking through my stash of embellishments, I found these cute little snowflakes which added the perfect whimsical touch. This was a quick and easy card and would be very easy to recreate in multiples if you wanted.

Have a fantastic day and I’ll be back next week with a new project for you.
