XOXO Card
by Donna Sledzik

Good morning everyone!  Today I have a cute Valentine’s Day card for you featuring many new products.

To make this card I started with red cardstock and placed the Drifting Hearts Stencil over the paper and sponged Versa Mark ink over the stencil.  I removed the stencil and applied clear embossing powder over the stenciled image and heat embossed it.  This gave the hearts a nice glossy shine.  To make the hearts stand out a little more, I sponged Aged Mahogany and Black Soot Distress ink over the embossed hearts. Buff the paper with a tissue to remove any ink that might be on the embossed hearts.

I die cut the heart using one of the new Double Stitched Loving Heart dies. From the heart I die cut the Banded Heart Locket Die.

I die cut the branch and used twine to tie the heart to the branch.

I stamped, colored and die cut the bunny and adhered it to the back of the heart opening.

Using foam tape I glued the card front to my white card base.  I did not put adhesive behind the bunny so that I could put the hanging heart behind the bunny.  I glued the branch and hanging heart to the card front and then placed foam tape behind the bunny to adhere it to the card.

To finish the card I stamped and white heat embossed the XOXO.  Then I used foam tape to glue it to the card.

That’s it for today!  I hope you have a great week and thanks for stopping by.
