Graceful Jellyfish Underwater
by Anne Thompson

There is another new embossing folder in the Under the Sea Collection that I chose to use as the backdrop for Graceful Jellyfish on today's cards–UNDERWATER EMBOSSING FOLDER F1012.

Card One

For all of the cards I made for this post (and I made a lot of them!) I used the same embossing folder and the Graceful Jellyfish set of dies.

  • I began with a stack of papers that I chose for using with the UNDERWATER EMBOSSING FOLDER EF1012.  Some of the papers were pale green dots, a muted blue plaid, and the new White Woodgrain.
  • I just kept making embossed panels, trimming some to 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 and some 5 1/4 X 4.
  • I chose VersaFine Clair inks in Shady Lane (an olive-y green), Warm Breeze (blue) and Green Oasis and I applied the ink to the embossed panels by rubbing the ink pads directly across the raised images.
  • Next I started making a bunch of the GRACEFUL JELLYFISH 94574 using scraps of glitter papers, foil papers, solid cardstocks, stripes and dots papers, and plaids.  I mixed and matched until I had jellyfish that coordinated with the inked embossed panels.
  • I used white notecards and added the embossed panels and jellyfish with Scor-Tape.  On a couple of the cards I added a plaid paper behind the embossed panel as well.

Cards One, Two, and Three

Cards Four, Five, and Six

These cards will be great for lots of different occasions this summer.  I can easily add a stamped sentiment inside with my handwritten message.  Or a selection of them with envelopes and stamps would make a lovely gift for a summer birthday or as a thank you to someone special.

Happy Crafting!
