Two Cards with Contempo Holly Die

Hello and welcome!  I’m up on the Memory Box blog today with two cards featuring the Contempo Holly Die from Memory Box.  This die comes with a coordinating stencil but I didn’t use that part for my cards today.  Here’s another look at my first card:

 

 

I cut the die from both white card stock and turquoise glitter paper from the “Festive Glitter Pad” and then used both of these to create my two cards.  I trimmed the branch and edges of the holly leaves from the main die cut and interchanged them with each other.  And I took a 2.25″ of both turquoise and white card to complete the right sides of each card.  Then I paper pieced the leaves inside the holly leaf frames.

 

The sentiments are both from “Festive Christmas Greetings” stamp and die set, stamped in Versamark Ink, heat embossed in white and cut with the coordinating dies.

 

Lastly I added some Fairy Sugar drops in “Ruby Crystal” color.

I decided to make this card a landscape version, unlike the portrait version on my first card.

I really like how these turned out because the glitter paper is so fantastic, you don’t need a lot else on the cards!  Here’s one last look at my 2nd and last card:

 

 

Look at the depth of color of that glitter paper!  And that’s just one of the colors in the pad, there are lots of gorgeous colors in the Memory Box of glitter papers.
