Flowering Trail Butterfly

Hello everyone.  Today I am sharing a simple spring birthday card I created for a crafty friend whose birthday is next month.

The background panel is Bristol paper embossed with the Geometric Crystal 3D embossing folder.  The Happy Birthday posh script sentiment was die cut once from gold Rainbow Reflections mirror paper and twice from white cardstock, then stacked for dimension.  To make it work for my card design, the happy part was cut off.  These two items were actually from my leftover bits bag.  Stretched the Festive Christmas Greetings stamp set and stamped “wishes” from it with white pigment ink on Bristol paper and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

Next, the Layered Impatiens die was used to die cut the flowers from scraps of white cardstock and Twilight Purple papers.  Used BV Copic markers to shade and flick details on them for some interest.  The butterfly back layer was die cut from a smooshed Villainous Potion distress ink piece also from my stash.  The butterfly outline top layer was die cut from black glossy paper.  Assembled the card onto a white card base, then for some sparkle, added clear shimmer to the butterfly/flowers and clear jewels to the flower centers to finish.

And that is it for my birthday card.  Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful day.
