I love the new Layered Periwinkle die 94614 in the 2022 February/Spring Collection from Memory Box. Once I started making these adorable flowers I just kept making more and more using a variety of Memory Box plaid and floral papers. I finished four cards and have more flowers still for future projects.
materials for each card
- LAYERED PERIWINKLE 94614
- EXQUISITE LEAF SET 94664 (I used the mid-sized leaves)
- MISS YOU POSH SCRIPT 94589
- green plaids from MADRAS PLAID CORAL AND GREEN PP1013
- various plaids from MADRAS PLAID BLUE AND VIOLET PP1014
- florals/prints from GARDEN FOLLY PP1005
- white notecards
- white cardstock
- White Woodgrain Paper SH44001
- large white pearls
- large clear FAIRY DROPS DRP101
- purple TREASURE CHEST FAIRY GEMSTONES GEM101
to make these cards
- trim a plaid or patterned paper 5 1/4 X 4 and add to the front of a white notecard
- trim White Woodgrain paper or white cardstock 4 1/4 X 3 and add to the center of the notecard
- die cut and assemble a variety of blooms using the Layered Periwinkle die set and plaids/florals/printed papers; add a Fairy Drop/Gemstone/pearl to the center of each flower; make at least three for the front of each card and another for the inside
- die cut multiples of the medium-sized leaf and the smaller one using the Exquisite Leaf Set and plaid or printed papers that coordinate with both the background paper and the periwinkles
- add three of the leafy stems to the white mat on the card front letting some of the stems and leaves fall over the edge onto the background colored paper
- use foam dots to pop on three periwinkle blooms
- die cut the background from the Miss You Posh Script from one of the plaids or prints used on the front of the card; die cut the detailed Miss You from White Woodgrain or white cardstock and add it to the background (I found it worked well to use Scor-Tape on the back of the paper before die cutting, making it much easier to add the more intricate lettering); add the assembled greeting to the card front and then add more of the gems used in the flower centers as accents
- on the inside of the card add one of the smaller leaf sprays and a single periwinkle
Pretty cards to send to someone you haven't seen in awhile! This design would also work well for any occasion by just changing the sentiment.
