Snowy Happy New Year

Hello and welcome, it’s Angie here today with a snow filled Happy New Year card!  This time of year is very special for my family as we have several family birthdays during the last week of every year – it’s time to celebrate!

To make my card I first took a piece of red cardstock and the new “Snow Flurries stencil” and used some white embossing paste with it to create the falling snow background.  Here’s a look at that step.

Once it dried, I added thin strips of white glitter paper to the edges.  Next I cut the 2 snowflake dies from the “Aurora” snowflake die set from the same white glitter paper.  The paper is from the “Delicate Pastel Glitter Paper” pad.

I also cut 3 more of the snowflake background from white cardstock and glued them behind the glitter one.  I added the glitter top layer of snowflake to the glitter stack and then popped it up on the card front.  I heat embossed the sentiment from clear stamp set called “Sweet Christmas,” onto black cardstock and then trimmed it to a small rectangle.  To finish my card I added lots of “Christmas Jewels” to the snowflake and the corners of the sentiment.

Here’s one last look:

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and wish you the happiest of new years!  Welcome 2024!

Thanks for stopping by!
